Monsters Made of Stone
We want our monsters made of stone,
Goblins, shadows, and crones,
Shining so darkly,
We will never miss them starkly,
Beholden in the Light,
Which guides us right,
Helping us to forget,
What the night so cruelly beget;
There is no monster made of stone,
Goblins, shadows, or crones,
To shine so darkly,
That we may never miss them starkly,
In the innocence of Light,
Locked in Balance with the night,
How easy it is to forget,
The monster that is beget,
By our own shallow sins.
